PT Phapros Tbk, has been serving the society for more than four decades by providing quality pharmaceutical products from its plant at Simongan 131, Semarang. The root of the Company can be traced back to NV Pharmaceutical Processing Industries - better known as "Phapros" - that was established in 21 June 1954 as a part of the expansion of Oei Tiong Ham Concern (OTHC), the first Indonesian conglomerate then dominating sugar business and agro-industry.
In its business history, Phapros was acquired by the Government when all OTHC's assets were nationalized and transferred to a holding company which is now known as PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI). In 2003, RNI owned 53% Phapros shares and the remaining shares were owned by public.
As a quality-oriented pharmaceutical company, Phapros has been one of the first five companies in Indonesia awarded Certification of Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) in 1990. Phapros high commitment to ward the standard of best practices has been further demonstrated bya the Certification of ISO 9001 in 1999 - which, in 2002 was then up-graded to Certification of ISO 9011 version 2000-and Certification of ISO 14001 awarded in 2000.
At the end 2002, Phapros has produced 137 of pharmaceutical products, among them 124 are own-developed. In the mid of 2004, Phapros introduced its own-developed products belong to to Agro-Medicine-Agromed group of products.
To build strong basis for its business, Phapros management strives to implement Good Corporate Governance (GCG). More importantly, the management also strives to build highly competent personals through well-planened human resource development program, to bring Phapros into a prominent pharmaceutical company in the rgion, in the era of free trade.
In 2004, Phapros opens new horizons. In the peak of the Company’s Golden Anniversary celebration, 26 June, Phapros launched the new corporation identity, the one that will bring Phapros toward brighter future in the second half of its first centennial history.
The more dynamic logo of Phapros symbolizes business philosophy that has been leading Phapros to grow from a small pharmaceutical firm in a small city into one of the prominent corporation in the country:
* Three circles represent the three prominent stakeholders: customer, shareholder and employee. The three circles symbolize the three shareholders that support Phapros and the Company’s very existence is to increase value for them as they move forward together facing the future. Additionally, the floating formation of the three circles represents a strong foundation. The short distance between the circles is the symbol of values of familiarity representing the strong character of Phapros people, from beginning of the Company to the future.
* The blue color represents innovation, growth, seriousness and wisdom. The red-yellow gradation shows the bravery and dynamic condition of the Company.
* The simple typhography shows sincerity without abonding strong image of the Company. The use of italic case letter represents a modern and dynamic institution that will move forward with open minded, harmony and balance. The unity between typhography and the circle that symbolize the "o" represents the bonding inside organization.

Phapros, that has been legally a public company since November 2000, has more than 1.000 employees, among them are on full-time basis.
As the manifestation of Phapros vision and mission, the strategy on human resources development is based on the employees competency development or Competency Based Organization (CBO).
The implementation of the CBO is aimed to create compentency factors – skill, knowledge, attitude – highly effective to enhance Phapros business competitiveness.
Quality Management System
Due to the implementation of Quality Management System, Phapros has received ISO 9001, which was then upgraded to Certification of ISO 9001:2000 in 2002 and the Certification of ISO 14001 awarded in 2000.

Phapros is doing development and innovation to provide the best product quality and performance in the market. Development is integrated with good system and current technology. Supported by competence personel that keep Phapros as one of the leading pharmaceutical company.
To strengthen its business networks and structures, the Company works more closely with Rajawali Nusindo that, as the distributor of the Company’s products, continously expands its distribution networks and strives to make business integration to create new outlets. In addition, Phapros also strives to make strategic alliances with international partners owning patents and brands.
Phapros Peduli dalam Inacraft 2009
Pada tanggal 22 - 26 April 2009 telah diselenggarakan event akbar bagi pelaku bisnis industri kerajinan di Indonesia. Event pameran dengan titel Inacraft yang secara rutin diselenggarakan tiap tahun bertujuan untuk mendorong perkembangan industri kerajinan di Indonesia terutama untuk industri kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Untuk tahun 2009, Inacraft diselenggarakan di Jakarta Covention Centre (JCC) selama 5 hari seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Dengan menempati hampir semua hall yang ada di JCC.
Peserta Pameran Inacraft 2009 diikuti oleh perusahaan BUMN beserta mitra binaannya, Pemda Tingkat I dan II, Dinas Koperasi dari beberapa Pemda, BPEN, dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah serta diikuti oleh Partisipan dari Luar Negeri terutama dari kawasan ASEAN.
PT Phapros Tbk melalui aktivitas CSR-nya yaitu Phapros peduli ikut berpartisipasi dalam event pameran Inacraft 2009 ini dengan mengikutkan serta 9 UMKM mitra binaan PT Phapros Tbk. Industri kerajinan yang dipamerkan oleh Mitra Binaan PT Phapros diantaranya adalah: kerajinan kaligrafi kayu dari Jepara, kerajinan tenun dari Klaten, kerajinan gebyok dari Kudus, kerajinan pohon kelapa dari Magelang, kerajinan batik dari Pekalongan ada 3 UMKM, kerajinan tenun troso dari Jepara ada 2 UMKM. Selama 5 hari pameran, produk-produk UMKM mitra binaan PT Phapros Tbk laris terjual dan total transaksi penjualan yang dihasilkan adalah sebesar Rp 242,599,250 dan UMKM kerajinan pohon kelapa mendapatkan order pesanan cukup lumayan yaitu sebesar Rp 110,050,000. Diantara produk-produk yang dipamerkan, produk tenun lurik dan kaligrafi merupakan produk yang cukup diminati oleh pengunjung. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari nilai transaksinya yang paling tinggi diantara yang lain.
Melalui aktivitas-aktivitas pameran seperti ini diharapkan UMKM dibawah binaan CSR PT Phapros Tbk dapat tumbuh dan berkembang lebih besar bisnisnya. Dan diharapkan di tahun-tahun mendatang PT Phapros Tbk melalui kegiatan-kegetian csr-nya dapat ikut berperan dalam menggerakan roda perekonomian kerakyatan di Indonesia.
