Chloride CBL type Nickel Cadmium Alkaline cells are designed for general purpose applications where discharge is infrequent but for long periods typically two hours and longer. The CBL type cells will give long life on float conditions and are ideally suited to applications such as emergency lighting , alarms, railway signaling and DC applications. With its low rate discharge capability , it is also suitable for frequent shallow discharge such as switching tripping and photovoltaic systems.

The Chloride CBM type range is suitable for medium discharge rate between 30 minutes and 3 hours. It is ideal for standby power supplies including UPS systems, off shore and marine power supplies, electric train duties and gas turbine control.
