On all ABB transformers, a series of routine tests will be carried out to ensure the design and construction. The test criteria shall be set in accordance with standards applied during design stage. Type tests or special tests can be performed upon our customer request. The following routine tests in accordance with IEC
recommendations are always performed:
- Winding resistance
-Voltage ratio and check of phase displacement
- Short circuit impedance and load loss
- No-load loss and current
- Power frequency test
- Lightning impulse test
- Test on on-load tap changer, where applicable
- Verification of insulation of auxiliary wiring Added to these routine tests, type and special tests can be added on request, such as:
- Temperature rise test
- Switching impulse test
- Induced overvoltage test with partial discharge
measurements
- Measurement of zero sequence impedance
- Determination of sound levels
