Japan\'s involvement is seen in a meeting with Minister of Industry, MS Hidayat delegation Keidanren (Japan\'s leading employers\' group) led Hiromasa Yonekura in the Office of the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Monday (14/02/2011).
Keidanren delegation also met with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice President Boediono, and Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Industry Bambang Suryo Sulisto.
This meeting generally discussed the cooperation of energy security infrastructure development, including bilateral problems of carbon trading mechanisms, in order to accelerate economic development of Indonesia.
Keidanren is an association of 100 large companies in Japan that helped determine the investment policy, export and import. Every year, Keidanren hold the Indonesia-Japan Forum. In 2011, they specifically talk about the six economic corridors as part of the acceleration of national economic development.
Infrastructure Jabodetabek
After the meeting, Hidayat said the plan, the infrastructure built throughout Greater Jakarta, including in Cikarang, Karawang, until Banten, for more complete our infrastructure. First, power projects in Central Java with a capacity of 2 x 1,000 megawatt using Supercritical technology with a total investment value of approximately 3 billion U.S. dollars. Second, the manufacture of railway from Manggarai Cengkareng to be built this year also with the modern railway system. Third, clean water projects in East Java.
Six economic corridors, said Minister of Industry, later in charge of growth centers in the region of Indonesia. Growth centers are largely made up of industrial clusters.
