Government Strive Reduction of Import Duty Tariff to Japan

SUMATERA - Marine and Fisheries Department will negotiate for the reduction of import duty tariffs to Japan. In purpose to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian fishery exports.
Tariffs to Japan for fresh tuna was 3.5 percent and 9.5 percent for canned tuna. This is done to improve the competitiveness of fishery exports.
Based on data from the export value of Indonesian fishery products to markets such as the United States, Japan and the European Union has currently reached 70 percent and 22 percent of prospective markets like Southeast Asia and East Asia. As for potential markets, such as the Middle East, Africa and former Eastern Europe for eight percent. (Various sources / WTd / MZ)
