Research Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (Persero) Teguh Wahyudi and Director PPKS Witjaksana Darmosangkoro inaugurated the nation\'s largest library in the palm Medan, on Tuesday (26/10/10). PPKS an oil palm research institute of the oldest national also the nation\'s largest seed producer.

Collection PPKS fairly complete library of books and a third of which contains historical records of oil palm in the archipelago since the late 19th century. Therefore, PPKS optimistic that such facilities can support the development of research perkelapasawitan national.

True to say, PPKS can complement it with a positive breakthrough information system linked to the site library or international research centers. This will allow researchers to obtain scientific reference material linked their research.

So simple effort (to renovate the library) This is really useful for a greater purpose. Therefore, the synergy with other research institutions are also important for the sake of efficiency and effectiveness of research, said Teguh. (Kompas.com)
