Determination of national palm industry becomes increasingly spherical reference of other countries. Oil Palm Research Center (PPKS) open service thematic bibliography contains 8636 titles of books about oil palm.

Research Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (Persero) Teguh Wahyudi and Director PPKS Witjaksana Darmosangkoro inaugurated the nation\'s largest library in the palm Medan, on Tuesday (26/10/10). PPKS an oil palm research institute of the oldest national also the nation\'s largest seed producer.

Collection books on PPKS fairly complete library and a third of which contains historical records of oil palm in the archipelago since the late 19th century. Therefore, PPKS optimistic that such facilities can support the development of national palm research.

Teguh say, PPKS can complement it with a positive breakthrough information system linked to the site library or international research centers. This will allow researchers to obtain scientific reference material linked their research. \"So simple effort (renovating the library), this is really useful for a greater purpose. Therefore, the synergy with other research institutions are also important for the sake of efficiency and effectiveness of research, \"said Teguh. (kompas.com)
